3rd John

Are the apostles' words authoritative? Are we free to take or leave their words? Is it acceptable to pick and choose when we "agree" with them? In 3 John, the apostle recalls, "I wrote something to the church; but Diotrephes, who loves to be first among them, does not accept what we say."
